Locksport Friends
Below are companies and organizations I personally support and recommend.
Every lock pick company listed is one I personally use. There are no sponsorships or affiliate links here, just solid gear from people doing good work.
Greyhound Picking
Greyhound Picking creates some of the most inventive tools in the community. His dog leg picks have a distinctive shape and a smart notch at the tip that have helped me open many locks from my naughty bucket. His jackknife pocket pick is the best one I own. I strongly recommend his work for anyone who values well engineered lock picks.
Jimy Longs
When people ask where to begin in lock sport, I point them to Jimy Longs. They are the best picks for the price you can get. When I was teaching my sons friend how to pick locks, I sent him home with the starter set because it is that solid. I have opened more locks with my Jimy Longs than with all my other picks combined. He has poured serious time and resources into locksport to create some of the finest picks in the industry.
Southern Specialties
Southern Specialties, also known as LockPickTools, is a true OG in the lock picking world. They go the extra mile to make their customers happy, from sending free gear to laser etching and helping you figure out exactly what you need. Their selection of Bogotas, handcuff escape tools, and the incredible Shacklemen pick set covers just about every lock picking need.
Law Lock Tools
From across the pond, Law Lock Tools has some of the most unique designs, coupled with some of the best metal handles in the business. I love the look and feel of their pro handles. One of my main picks these days.
Mitten Made Locksport
Mitten Made Locksport is a group started to support Veterans in Locksport, as well as help new Vets and non Vets discover and benefit from this seemingly weird hobby.
Shacklemen Cuff Club
The Shacklemen Cuff Club grew out of the underground spirit of locksport and escapology. Founded by Charles Watt (SeeStuDo) and NOTTODEAD, the club became a home for structured, progressive handcuff-escape challenges that develop precision, composure, and community.
